Welcome to The Music Salon!
Located in the heart of Madeira, The Music Salon was started by guitar teacher and professional musician, Sean McGary. After teaching in music store chains for several years, Sean felt called to offer a new, different approach for teaching his students - a much more individualized, personalized approach for each student.
And The Music Salon was born…
The Music Salon offers an environment that welcomes students, no matter their experience - from students with none to students already having years of experience. Students are encouraged to learn in ways that make the most sense for them.
Music is fun and that’s how we make it!
Our newest location, founded in 2023, has a modernized, upscale interior offering students and parents a boutique experience. We have heard that our salon "feels more like an art gallery" than anything else. We take that as a compliment, as the music our students play and create is, indeed, art!
With the new space, The Music Salon has evolved into a multi-teacher studio expanding our repertoire of instruments, from lessons in guitar to drums to piano, and more, with added products and services!
The Music Salon offers in-house Guitar/Bass repair services with retail coming soon!

Lessons
Our patient and friendly teachers are experienced, professional, touring musicians - all of whom have a music degree. We welcome and are able to teach all ages and levels, eager to share our multiple-decades of experience with all!
